NoteHaul for Read AI (Chrome extension) · Effective date: October 16, 2026
Short version
- NoteHaul has no servers that receive your meeting data. Your meeting data travels only between your browser and Read AI’s official API (
api.read.ai and its sign-in server authn.read.ai).
- Exported meetings are written only to the ZIP file you download to your own computer.
- We don’t use analytics, ads, tracking or third-party scripts, and we never sell data.
What the extension handles
- Read AI sign-in credentials. When you connect, the extension registers an OAuth client for you and receives access/refresh tokens from Read AI. If you paste credentials instead, it stores what you paste. These are kept in Chrome’s local extension storage on your device and are used only to call Read AI’s API on your behalf. Disconnect deletes them.
- Meeting data (titles, dates, participants’ names and emails, transcripts, summaries, action items and similar fields) is downloaded from Read AI’s API when you ask for it, held in memory while the export runs, and saved only into the ZIP file you download. It is not stored by the extension afterwards.
- Free-trial counter. The IDs of meetings exported during the free trial are stored locally so the 5-meeting limit can be applied.
Payments and license checks (ExtensionPay & Stripe)
Paid unlocks are handled by ExtensionPay, and card payments are processed by Stripe. Here is what that involves:
- License checks. To check whether your copy is unlocked, the extension contacts
extensionpay.com with a random license key that ExtensionPay creates for your installation. It is stored in Chrome’s extension storage.
- Checkout. If you buy, or restore a purchase with Already paid?, you enter your email and payment details on ExtensionPay’s and Stripe’s pages. They process that information under their own privacy policies. NoteHaul never sees your card number.
- No meeting data, transcripts or Read AI tokens are ever sent to ExtensionPay or Stripe.
ExtensionPay passes our sales information to us (for example, the purchaser’s email and the payment status) so we can provide support and refunds.
What we never do
- Send your meeting content or Read AI tokens to NoteHaul or any third party.
- Sell, rent or share your data, or use it for advertising, profiling or creditworthiness.
- Use it for anything other than exporting the meetings you choose.
The use of information received from Google APIs and Chrome will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Permissions
storage – keep your Read AI connection, settings and trial counter on your device.
identity – open Read AI’s official sign-in window and receive the sign-in result.
- Access to
api.read.ai and authn.read.ai – call Read AI’s API and token endpoint.
- A script on
extensionpay.com pages only – lets the payment page tell the extension that a purchase completed.
Your choices
